Day 151- Blinded me with SCIENCE!

We had a scientifically minded day today. We worked on science review in the morning. (after I had to attend a make-up TCAP meeting. This test may be the death of me)

We went through our science workbook and reviewed the material. Then we made some new "Ask Me" cards. My students loved when they got to wear question cards about American Government! They were so proud of themselves when they answered the questions after the teachers asked them!

Here are some examples of our science "Ask Me" cards:
We made enough cards that everyone got one. Students wore the cards to lunch, in the halls going to the bathroom, recess, etc. Each time we got near a teacher, my class would start to gently *cough* and point to their cards. :)
I appreciate all my teacher buddies who were willing to play along!

This afternoon we challenged Mr. Russell's class to a game of Science Jeopardy. I'm pleased to announce that General Delk's Army was the victor! If you'd like to download the game- it is a fun review!- you can find it {HERE}.

I created it when I taught second grade, but the information is good for first grade as well. The pictures and underlined words are hyperlinked.

Tomorrow is going to be awesome and I'll tell you why- tomorrow afternoon is the school's TCAP pep-rally! After our 5th grade students lead the school in some rousing cheers, there will be a game between 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students and their teachers-
Are You Smarter Than a Clifton Hills Teacher?

The jeopardy-style game was created by yours truly, and will be posted for download tomorrow. (the questions came out of 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade practice test books, since I have no idea what those grade study)

It's going to be good!
