Celebrity Story Saturday- MLK Edition

Today is the day that the United States set aside to remember the life and contributions of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. As a young student the only thing I thought about on this day was how happy I was to have a day off of school. Through the years, I've matured enough to fully appreciate the life and work of Dr. King.

As a teacher, I hope I impress upon my students how different the world would be if Dr. King had not had the courage and love to change the world around him. Thank you, Dr. King for sharing your love with the world!

In this edition of CSS, I wanted to share the story that my students read on Friday.

This story had students from all over the USA give their definitions of Peace.

I invited Ms. Corbett to be our Celebrity for this special edition, and she readily accepted. If you click on Ms. Corbett's name, you'll see that she has been featured on the blog before, but this is her first time as a reader. Ms. Corbett is a wonderful friend and teacher who shares her love of teaching with teachers and students alike.

Enchanted Learning (for teachers and parents)

Here are the pictures and the chart we created on Friday. Feel free to come visit the school and see it for yourself!
