Day 164- Not close enough

It's not close enough to Friday yet.
Not that I'm counting the days, mind you. I'm more looking forward to taking a break from F&P testing. 3 more students tested today, but 2 of them are higher than I expected and I have to make more copies for them. (That's a good thing!! Let's hope they benchmark!)

I bet you're wondering what my students brought in today for show-and-share! I had 4 students bring in something to share.

 Doll from an Aunt
Picture with Mom

 Hot Wheels car from Dad
Picture of Dad and his friends- this student when he was sharing told us, "This is special to be because when my Dad's friends come over they talk to me. They are my friends too!" I thought that was so sweet!

** Tomorrow is our last day for show-and-share. I will be out on Thursday. I have to register my son for Kindergarten! (tear!)**

We received another letter from Farmer Brown today! Mr. Cruz delivered it from the office- he said that Duck from the farm brought it!
I'm so glad we could share our knowledge!

He asked us why he should buy the pigs a hot tub when pigs really just want to stay cool.
Hmmmm... well, he may just have a point. So, we wrote him back and said that the pigs would settle for a swimming pool with a diving board, like the ducks have, but we would also need some sunshades. I don't think we're asking for that much.
We had a student deliver the letter to the Magic Mailbox in Mrs. Overton's office. I expect a letter tomorrow!

** On Friday we have our 1st Grade picnic. Remember your beach towel and outdoor activity! (like jump rope, bubbles, sidewalk chalk, etc)**
