Shower for Success

Clifton Hills is blessed to have an influx of new teachers in our building this year. Not only do we have transferred teachers, we have straight-out-of-the-gate teachers fresh off the college line! It was those bright-eyed, bushy-tailed teachers that we wanted to shower with support on Friday afternoon.

When starting one's first teaching job, there are always things that come up that were never taught in our education classes in college. There are some things you can only learn with time and experience. The Climate Cadre and our administration got together to officially welcome the new teachers with some tricks of the trade, and cake.

The stage was set...

 Gotta have food!

The decorations and gifts were done by Mrs. Watts and Ms. Fuller. Awesome job, ladies!

Each new teacher received a bucket filled with school supplies, a booklet compiled by the Climate Cadre of tricks of the trade- all given from the veteran teachers, and other items that their grade level thought were appropriate.
Here are our new teachers!
 Ms. Speights- Kindergarten

Mr. Russell- first grade

 Ms. Chastain- third grade

Ms. Williams- third grade

Mr. Kirby- fourth grade (you might remember him from a THIS post)

Ms. Snyder- fourth grade

 Ms. Waddell- fifth grade
 Ms. White- fifth grade

Ms. Harris- music

You'll notice, quite a few of our new teachers have been on the blog this year! That's because, we at the Hills only hire the best of the best!

I hope our new teachers feel loved and welcomed into Clifton Hills! We are happy and blessed to be able to work with such wonderful talent!
