Week 2- Numbers and Adjectives

In case you were wondering what we were working on! :)

In math we have been looking at place value- we go up to ten thousands- here we are using manipulatives to represent numbers. I love that my students used multiple ways!

For our adjectives study, we used 2 stories all about underpants. (my first graders loved this lesson last year!)

We created a list of adjectives after reading the first story. Today we each created a pair of underpants, then traded with a friend. We then wrote adjectives that describe our new underpants! So, if your student came home today talking about their undergarments, there's a reason!

I will update again on Friday. (Maybe before if we do something extraordinary!) We are going to have a rockin' awesome verbs lesson and we are going to add another mini-book to our working journal.
