It feels good to be back in the groove of school again. We had a successful week and now we get to enjoy a long weekend!
We have a special book for this first Celebrity reading of the New Year. It's by a wonderful author named Kevin Henkes, and I didn't know this book existed! I'm familiar with his books Chrysanthemum and Lily's Purple Plastic Purse, so I knew I would like this book too!
Our newest Celebrity reader is Ms. Toles! She came to Clifton Hills this year as a new kindergarten teacher. She has taught in Georgia previously (in second and third grades), but I think she has found her calling as a kindergarten teacher! Every time I see Ms. Toles' class around the school I see them following Clifton Hills rules. I love how Ms. Toles shows her students that they are all loved and respected as learners- she's a great example!
Today she is sharing one of her favorite books- Jessica by Kevin Henkes.
