American Government and Citizenship

The third grade team decided that we would work on social studies in the weeks before our winter break. Previously, we have integrated our SS lessons in with our small group and whole group reading lessons.

I am sooo excited about this unit! It happens to be my absolute favorite! First we looked at the rights and responsibilities of citizens. You can find the vocabulary power point we used to introduce the lessons below.


This week we are looking at the 3 branches of government. The vocabulary Power Point for this lesson is below.


Tomorrow I'll try to remember to get pictures of the graphic organizers we have used so far. You'll love meeting Bill (of rights)!
